About AirLaw Study Tool

AirLaw is an AI-powered study tool designed to help aviation students and professionals navigate and understand the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR). It covers all 5 volumes of the regulations compiled as F2024C01027.

How It Works

When you ask a question, the AI analyses your query and determines which volume(s) of the CASR are most likely to contain relevant information. It then reads the appropriate volume and provides an answer grounded in the actual regulation text.

You can also upload images (photos of drawings, diagrams, notes) and PDF documents. The AI will analyse these uploads and use them as context in the conversation.

Volumes Covered

  • Volume 1 — Preliminary: Definitions, interpretation, application of regulations
  • Volume 2 — Flight Rules & Airspace: Pilot licensing, flight rules, airspace classifications
  • Volume 3 — Aircraft Operations: Air operator certificates, maintenance, airworthiness
  • Volume 4 — Airworthiness: Aircraft certification, type certificates, standards
  • Volume 5 — Administrative: Aerodromes, navigation services, penalties

Technology

Built with Next.js and powered by the Anthropic Claude API. The application uses Claude's native PDF understanding to read and comprehend the regulation documents directly, without requiring any pre-processing or text extraction.
